Happy Easter!

I can't believe Easter is here already. I had no time to decorate for it. But I did get this made. I found this really cute idea from a blog I read on a daily basis. You can go here to see where the idea all started. craftomaniac

I made mine a little different. I used wood for my peep. I painted him yellow and on the last coat used yellow glitter. I wish everyone a Happy Easter!!

From the Heart

Nothing says I <3 U more than a well thought out gift!! After looking at many blogs to come up with the perfect gift I came up with a perfect one from the kids. I took a picture of each one of them and then I bought 8x10 black frames. I think their dad is going to like his present!

Holiday Decorating

Well, I am a little behind in decorating for the holidays! There are so many wonderful color combinations! It was hard to just pick one. I really wanted the aqua and silver..but I already had bought black, silver, and red. I got some garland from Hobby Lobby and wrapped it around my chandalier. Then we hung some ornaments from it. I had a hurricane vase I used for fall and swapped out with some ornaments and picks I bought from Walmart. I made some garland for our christmas tree with some scrapbook paper and jute. Well that is as far as I got today. Hopefully I can finish before Christmas gets here! ;)

Go Hogs!!

Thats for the RAZORBACKS!! My husband is from Arkansas and of course he is a HAWG FAN!! So, I made this hat. When he was watching the game he seen a crocheted hat and said he wanted one. Well, I haven't crocheted in 15 years. I had to call me sister up for a refresher course. After 3 hours I had the hat done. Now to make the face. I had to have my mom help with that. After a few more hours this is what I came up with. I think for my first hat I did a pretty good job. Now all the kids want one. I guess I will be busy for awhile.

Signs

I have been busy making signs for a craft show...I didn't get as much done as I wanted. But here are some that I did get done and sold right away! My favorite is the You&me. I painted 2 coats of black on it and then 2 coats of white. I sanded all the edges and cut letters out with my cricut. Right now I am working on making an advent calendar. My idea is to recycle brown paper bags. I am going to cut mittens and stockings and put a lil surprise in them. I will post pics and pattern as soon as I get it done.

New bed

I have been following AnaWhite's blog for awhile. We decided to make her farmhouse bed. After, a few short hours we did it. And here are some pictures to prove it. ;) If you would like to see what else she does go check her out! She has alot of amazing DIY projects! I think this bed will last a lifetime and then some. All solid wood none of that cheap partical board here! Many thanks to my dear hubby who says alot of blood, sweat, and tears went into it. He means lots of LOVE!

Well, after many attempts in photoshop and not knowing anything I was doing I came up with this. I plan on figuring it out alot better but for being pressed for time this is good enough.(Bragging moment here) When I picked up his invites a Walmart they wouldn't give them to me. I needed the photographer's signature. I looked at them and said well you are looking at her. :) WoW! They thought they were done by a professional! I can't believe my baby is graduating!

Prom 08

WhAt A wEeKeNd!!

I had family come visit from ND. Prom was saturday night. I pulled two allnighters in a row! Man do I feel old!. My younger brother and his wife are nightowls. They come to visit at night and leave like fiveish early morning. Then I told the kids I would cook for them after prom. I know next near not to stay up the night before visiting! Blog challenge

This challenge is for a trip down memory lane from the Freak. I need to remember what tv shows I watched as a kid. That was sooo long ago. I remember watching Knots Landing, Dynasty, Punky Brewster, MTV (before all the reality shows), Laverne and Shirley, Threes Company, and this show with Ricky Shroeder (can't remember the name though). I am sure there are more but just can't think of them right now. As far as a female person I wanted to be.............There were several! Where to start? Princess Leigh from Star Wars. My mom would braid my hair and wrap it up like hers. (lol) Farah Fawcett was probably next. Man I wanted to be a Charlie's Angel......
Also, thought Molly Ringwald would be a nice person to be. Especially in sixteen candles! (Jake Ryan) Need I say more? lol Hmmmm.....now teen crushes it was so way back when I don't know if I can remember. I think maybe Andy Gibb was that his name? I think so. I would carry his picture from a magazine with me. I am wondering why I can remember this stuff now! lol

Contest & Big News

Where has the time gone? I feel like I am standing still and everything around me is moving forward. I look at alot of people's blogs and dont even keep up with my own. I have been working on a few projects. I am making a card to enter in the http://www.allthatscraps.com/ contest. You win stamps! I love stamps. Go check it out on their blog. The big project I am working on is designing my own stamp line. I hope to debut them in May. I love to draw and thought this would be a great direction to go in. If anyone has any ideas of stamps you would like to see leave me a comment. I have kids in sports and I have a hard time finding anything related to that sport. Like cross country, track, and now golf. So, I do have plans of doing something for them. If all goes to plan you will be looking at the creator of Dizzie Designz. I will post some sneak peeks closer to the time they come out. If you are wondering what they could be I will give a lil hint they are warm and fuzzy.


Here is the card I designed for the contest. It is not done yet. I am trying to decide on my line. I am leaning to You Wanna Monkey Around? But not sure yet. It is between that and Flippin For You. My dh says Head over heels for you and my sister says Head over Tails for you. I guess we will soon see what I decided on.............

I made this card for a friday challenge over at scrapfreak. I really like how this turned out. As someone commented that it reminded her of chocolate covered strawberries! Yum!!

Happy Heart Day cards

I have been busy making cards. I just love this set from SU. I altered my first mailbox today too! I will post a pic of that later. (batteries are dead in the camera) Well, dh will be home tuesday for 13 days. We are all excited! He was suppose to come home on the 19th but Kaleb had book buddies day on the 16th for dads. So, dh got the go ahead to come home early. They said that was the best reason they have ever heard to leave early. Kaleb doesn't know his dad will be there. It will be a big surprise!
