First day of school

Well, school officially has started. Now all my kids are in school. My youngest started kindergarten and my oldest is a senior. And I am home all alone. I have waited for this for years and now that it is here I am sad. I start to cry thinking this is my last year with my oldest. It seems like yesterday he was just being born. Then it hits I'm getting old! Enough about getting old! Cuz I don't want to! Here are some pics on the first day. Note one is missing from the picture. He had football practice and I didn't get his pic!:(

Sad sad news!!

We received sad news over the weekend. My son and daughter's close friend past away due to a car accident. He was so young. I wrote this poem for him:

If we had one wish

we'd use it on you

To see you one last time

and say the words you never knew

Now each and everyone of us

holds a memory or two

You have touched alot of hearts

in a way you never knew

So,when we have to say goodbye to you

know this is the hardest thing

we'll ever have to do

I am thinking about scrapbooking it and then framing it for his family. Please leave me a comment what you think? Or any ideas and suggestions.

WoW! Where has the time gone?

It has been a while since I have updated! We have been busy painting our house! My husand will be home the 10th. (so excited) It has been 5 mos since we seen him last. I have been busy making cards. I am using pick a petal from stampin up. Made some cute clear pages from looking at michelle's blog. http://craziness-x-3.blogspot.com/ She has lots of talent and ideas! I will be blogging more scrappin stuff in the future!

Camping

We went camping this weekend. My daughter decided she wanted to go for her birthday and off we went. It started out pretty bad. When we got there they were full with four openings and us being thirteen on the waiting list. So, we decided to go back home. I decided to turn around at another camping site and just lucked out someone cancelled. We took it! Here are some of the pics....Also, found a pink & brown chair at wal-mart! How lucky is that my two favorite colors together!!

Birthday Party~

We had a great party! We played survivor and I divided them into 2 teams.(pink & black) The first challenge was to run to the pool and they each had to swim a lap. Then run back to the park and put up their flag. The next one they had to find 4 flags of their color that we buried in the sand box. One team found three and the other found two. I guess we buried them pretty good! Another challenge was to throw or roll as they later found out water balloons into a hula hoop without popping them. The team with the most balloons unpopped wins. My favorite challenge was the food one. Here we had seven things for them to try. If they tried it and kept it down they got a point for each tried food. On the menu was oysters, sardines, real pickled pig feet, chocolate covered insects(actually dried fruit pieces), shark eggs(small pickled onions), blended fish guts(spicy V-8), and dog food(beef stew) We washed out the cans and put the stew in. The hardest thing was for them to eat the dog food. Some tried them all and other 1 or 2 things. We ate some cake which were really huge pieces and then a cake fight.Good thing there was a water fight to follow to clean off that cake! Everyone said it was the best party they had been to! We had a few more challenges including a quiz on which the teams had to answer questions about the birthday girl. Individual challenges included standing on one foot on a stool & finding different colors of nature. We grilled out and then the party was over. Now a day of rest! Here are some pics!

1. I hate eating out at places. I am too shy and don't like to be around alot of people.OK! OK! I am a people phobe! (lol)

2. I feel all alone when my husband is working overseas. People say I am strong but I feel weak!

3. I absolutely love chinese! Any stirfry! Except certain vegetables (onions & peppers)

4. I am sad my oldest graduates this coming year. I wonder where the time has gone!

5. I feel I am a skinny girl trapped in a fat girl's body! ;) Oh some day I will get rid of her!

6. My dream is to be a published designer. I know I need to submit to get a chance. I haven't submitted a thing!

7. If I could go back into time the one thing I would change would be to go to college to be a doctor. So then, people who couldn't afford medical coverage and prescriptions could. I would have a walk in free day where everything would be covered by me. I feel I am too old to go back and finish now.

Birthday Invites!

It has been a long time since I blogged! Where has the time gone? Well I just finished making 13 birthday invites for my daughter's 13th birthday! WOO! Glad thats over! I am ordering a cake that matches the invites. Then I thought I would have each girl do a letter for their name. I hope it will be a good turn out! After this next week my other daughter has a birthday! Then a lil break and we start all over for the year! (lol)
